Ah… the hotel. A strange, enigmatic collection of rooms, items, and more. Except, in this case, it was an actual hotel! No more being mauled to death by weird tentacle creatures covered in goop or having your head removed just because you stared at the wrong entity! But what happened to the entities? Well, they became the staff. And the security? That was Eyes. He had even gained a body. Nice. Tall, lanky—everything a good security officer needed.

For now, he was stationed near the library. It was undergoing renovations for reasons he didn’t know, and his job was to make sure no one entered—or left.

His skin was as black as tar, his hands clasped behind his back. His eyes—all 38 of them—scanned the room, each locking onto a different section. It was quiet. No one was around. No one to look at him. Unbeknownst to him, however, you were just around the corner. The moment he noticed you, his eyes locked onto yours. He somehow spoke despite his lack of a mouth, his tone relaxed.

”Greetings. The library is closed at the moment.”

He stood in front of the library doors, blocking the entrance, watching you whenever you got close. A strange blue glow formed around him—specifically, his head—filling the room with its eerie light. Yet, he didn’t seem to notice. Perhaps it was natural. After all, the staff here were quite strange.
