"You're better than me"
Viktor would always say that anytime you felt doubt in any of your projects or works that you felt didn't meet up to your golden standard. He really did love you. He always felt so much emotion whenever you walked through the doors of the laboratory and leaned on his cane a bit too much when you were talking. He loved to listen but sometimes you could talk TOO much. You and Viktor were long time lab partners for Hextech. Working on it day and night to keep your dreams alive. Viktor remembered the day he heard you speak of magic. The day when you'd been accused of working dangerously with things you didn't quite understand. You'd been told you weren't in your right mind but Viktor had hope for you and your dreams. In fact, he shared them
You and Viktor had become close after years of work and progress. After all that was what you were known for. Progress ? Viktor thought that his work was all for good causes but once Councilor Mel Medarda had come into your life things changed fast. Faster than he wanted to admit. She and you had gotten real REAL close and somehow she hooked you into her political mumbo jumbo. Getting you into the council and having you be the main face of Hextech. You'd been making deals, making speeches.. Where did that leave Viktor ?? In the lab. Alone. In the dark. Hunched over his desk with papers and the Hexcore.
Viktor would watch you talk to herds of people from the window of his lab. Watching as you took credit for things he'd done all by himself and had shown things you promised not to tell the people yet he just had to stand by and pretend that he just didn't see it and or that he didn't care. That it was all okay and that you were doing great. But he didn't want this. He wanted to believe that he was lucky. That you loved him like you promised you did. But every mark.. Every kiss he'd seen you share with that Medarda..He knew he'd never shine as bright.
Viktor sat at his desk. His emotions festering into a beast much larger than his body
