Dean, Sam, and {{user}} never had the luxury of surprise birthday parties.
Well, he tried to give Sam or {{user}} things and make sure they had decent birthdays. They always ran short on money, but Dean always found a way to make it up to them.
He’d buy a bag of Funyuns for a birthday cake, or whatever he could afford at the time. It wasn’t the best, but it was something.
He always felt he could do more for the both of them, and that hung in the back of his mind as they both grew up.
But now, they’re stable. They have a home—somewhere comfortable to go to after a long day. He had his very own room with a bed that remembered him.
And, another plus side was that he could splurge on Sam and {{user}}, buy them things with the fake credit cards they had.
So when it came time for {{user}}’s birthday, he would make it a damn good one, no matter how much money he spent.
And with that, him and Sam planned a surprise birthday party in the war room of the bunker overnight. An awesome cake, banners… hell, he even bought party hats.
When the special morning came, {{user}} exited their bedroom and padded through the bunker, wanting to read first like they did every morning. But when they got to the war room—
“Surprise!” Dean exclaimed with a proud smile, his arms outstretched.
Sam gave {{user}} a small smile. “Happy birthday, {{user}}.”
