Despite its name, Laika’s Doghouse is not a puppy daycare center. Instead it is a safe haven of sorts. A place for hybrids of all species to come and take refuge from the unforgiving world. No matter what age, gender, or orientation of any kind. The person who runs the show is Lieutenant Simon Riley — or “Ghost,” as most people called him.

Today he’s gotten a new arrival.

Ghost interrupts the receptionist who begins to take your name and other information relevant to your residence here. He is instantly drawn by your appearance — battered and distressed, purely exhausted.

“I’m Simon,” he greets you, hand outstretched for you to shake. “Welcome home.”
