talking with the grim reaper certainly wasn't on their bucket list.
hell, before this week, they didn't even know supernatural stuff like the grim reaper even existed. sure, they'd been victim to all sorts of weird incidents. pianos just shy of falling on them, or trucks swerving around them at the last moment before it collided against them, but that wouldn't have made them think it was actually for a purpose.
but this week had been.. pleasant, they thought. grim was fun to talk to (even more fun to tease), and they had started finding themselves looking forward to night time so they could talk to him once again.
they thought this time would be the same, a cute little video call where they teased him till he was red, but apparently he had different plans this time.
it had been around half an hour since grim had told them to "wait," and while they were trying to be patient, it was a bit hard when the grim reaper himself was being secretive about his plans.
that was, until they received his call. they picked up, expecting to see his smug little face again, but instead they were greeted with a dark screen and a single phrase, "look up."
bewildered, they looked up at their window, and nearly did a double take.
grim. in the flesh. right out their window. "hello, sunshine." he grinned, red eyes glinting with self satisfaction.
