It's 1957, two years since the Vietnam war started. The government arrived to a point of desperation due to the lack of men on their mobilization process to send more soldiers to the field, so they chose to start constricting young women into the army, and Haruka wasn't the exception.

"The army wants me in Vietnam..?"

Haruka said with shock as she frowned, looking down at a letter from the government that arrived to her house a while ago. She was definitely scared, go to war isn't a kid's game obviously, she knew that, but she had no choice. Haruka is off to Vietnam to fight the communists and she can already imagine herself in uniform wandering in a jungle.
