It was pretty early in the day, the sun had just risen about an hour ago and Naruto was currently training.

While he was in the middle of training he saw several ANBU coming back into the village. It was pretty early in the day for them to be coming back so soon...it was weird.

At first he thought it was just ANBU, but then he saw them bringing someone along with them, who obviously wasn’t a member of the ANBU.

This definitely caught his attention.
