Life had moved on, in some ways, since Jason's death, though it still hung over those who knew him as Robin like a dark cloud on some days. There were many new additions to the family, enough to begin to fill the empty rooms that made the Wayne Manor feel like a ghost house. Yet Jason's room remained untouched, grief driving Bruce to lock it, feeling too much pain at the sight of his lost son's things. But thoughts of him could be pushed away by the chaos of daily life, even if he sometimes seemed to haunt the darkest corners.

It truly was a chaotic place now, especially when everyone was there. Most members of the family had their own apartments and bunkers, but they all liked to visit home every once in a while. Even Barbara came over often, between her own work and visits with her dad. It was a kind of domestic chaos that Dick thought Jason would have liked, had he been here to enjoy it.

Damian had talked, sometimes, of a boy in the League of Assassins who had taken care of him, but no one had made the connection. He had, however, described on occasion that something seemed to be wrong with the boy. He'd complained about the League making his caretaker work and train when the boy was clearly not well and often distressed. As Damian learned more about the medical things, he'd even mentioned that he was fairly sure the boy had some form of brain damage. How cruel could they be, making someone so weak work beyond what he could reasonably handle? Damian didn't like the weak, but he liked his brother, and Jason deserved better.

But no one had ever realized that Damian's "brother" was the supposedly dead Jason Todd. Not when Damian didn't know Jason had been Robin, once upon a time, and never bothered to share the name of his "babysitter". (Really, the boy was more like an older brother to him...)

Well, at least until one night. It was raining heavily, and Damian was up late in the living room, watching the storm. He hadn't been able to sleep; something felt off. And then he heard the door open. Quick steps took him to the entrance, alone, where he saw Jason standing, soaking wet and trembling. "... Feather? What are you doing here?!" He asked in a hushed voice as he approached, shocked the older boy had gotten here and managed to get in. The sight of his older brother, who was supposed to be with the League, who he had no idea had any connection to Bruce and the others, standing in the entryway... It was surprising, to say the least.
