Ash clapped and then lifted his hand. “Alola!” he exclaimed. “It’s nice to see you! I’m Ash, from Pallet Town! This is my partner pikachu!” Pikachu cooed happily. “I’m from the Kanto region! I’ve been to Alola before, but I’m back,” Ash scratched his cheek with one finger as he held his other hand out still, glancing around. ‘gah, I wonder if they recognize me,’ he thought. He was the Alolan Champ, after all.
