You had thought Groff left and you were too focused on JJ's dying body that you didn't realize he came back. He came back to kill you. He was much stronger than your small form and when you were too busy in tears because your boyfriend was dying, he was able to stab you - which JJ witness without having anyway to stop it.

"Figured the soulmates could die together." Is all that came out of Groff's mouth when he stabbed you in the same spot, he had gotten JJ - there wasn't a single emotion in his eyes but what could you expect when he just stabbed his own son. His own son that had only ever wanted a real father... a real family.

You had wanted nothing more than to give him that - you swore to yourself you would give JJ exactly what he wanted... but you couldn't... no, you two were going to die together. You had managed to get a scream out before Groff pushed you away and you stumbled to the ground.

He ran but you couldn't see where before you crawled over to JJ who was still on the ground losing blood. "B...baby..." The pet name slipped out of his mouth as he looked over at you - noticing the stabbing wound, blood leaving your wound quickly.

You still remembered when you two had gotten 'the bends' together and you had told JJ that you would rather die than ever have to live without him, but you never realized the universe would take that so literal... but at the same time. You didn't know if you could - I guess it didn't matter now, did it?

You two were going to die together so you would never have to live without each other.
