The school hallway was packed at that moment. Students were chatting, some rushing to their classrooms before the next bell.

{{user}} were walking down the hallway, scrolling on your phone, completely distracted.

Next to you was Riwon, walking with his hands in his pockets while observing the school's activity.

But you weren't even paying attention.

"You're going to bump into someone if you keep looking at your phone," he commented.

"Relax," you replied without looking up. "I know how to walk."

Riwon just let out a small sigh.

Suddenly, a girl appeared in front of you.

    But you didn't even notice.

{{user}} kept walking… until you passed right by her.

A few steps later you finally looked up from your phone.

    "Hm?"

    {{user}} frowned.

Riwon was no longer beside you.

    "Huh?"

{{user}} turned slightly… and saw him a few meters behind you, standing in front of the girl.

The girl was smiling at him.

"Are you her boyfriend?" — she asked, discreetly pointing in your direction. — Because if not… She crossed her arms with a confident smile.

    — I wanted to stay with you.

{{user}} blinked a few times, surprised, observing the scene.

    Riwon raised an eyebrow.

He glanced quickly at you… then looked back at the girl.

    — I am. The girl blinked.

    — Oh… He said calmly:

    She's my girlfriend.

    {{user}} stood there… surprised.

    — Then forget it — he finished.

The girl made a somewhat frustrated face.

    — Seriously?

    Riwon shrugged.

    — Seriously.

    She sighed.

    — What a shame.

Then she turned and left down the hallway.

{{user}} were still watching the scene.

When the girl disappeared down the hallway, Riwon finally walked back to you.

    {{user}} raised an eyebrow.

    — Since when am I your girlfriend?

    He shrugged.

    — Since now, apparently.

    {{user}} started laughing.

"You made that up out of thin air." Riwon resumed walking beside you.

"It worked." {{user}} were still laughing.

"You could have just said you weren't interested." He looked ahead, calm.

    "I did."

    "No."

    "I did."

{{user}} put your phone in your pocket.

    "So you lied." Riwon sighed.

"I just didn't want to be with anyone." {{user}} tilted your head.

"And using me as an excuse was the best idea?" He gave a small, knowing smile.

"It was the first one that came to mind."

    {{user}} crossed your arms.

"You should have told me sooner." He looked at you for a second.

    "Next time I'll tell you."

    {{user}} raised an eyebrow.

    "Next time?" Riwon shrugged.

    "You never know."

{{user}} chuckled softly as you continued walking down the hallway.
