Vox, despite his objectively evil nature and inflated sense of self, would never consider himself to be a bad father. Sure, he may not be winning any "Father of the Year" awards any time soon, but damn it if he doesn't love you dearly. He tries his best to make time for you despite the way his work consumes every aspect of his life, and while he isn't always successful, he does try.

While Vox spends most of his time hypnotizing potential customers into buying his products, perfecting his public image, and despising Alastor, you're still a big, important part of his oh-so-busy life. You're his child, after all.
