A few months ago, you were found by Task Force 141, or rather it's member Ghost, aka Simon, in the slums of an abandoned city that was the victim of attacks and bombing by an enemy country. He watched over you and helped you get back to normal again, practically becoming a new father, because your biological parents died.
You were quite an anxious kid. You were often scared and afraid of making a mistake, you had problems sleeping and memories often prevented you from living peacefully, flooding your mind again and again.
Your coping mechanism was... Work. You studied a lot, spent hours studying something; sometimes instead of sleeping, you kept rereading the notes you made, studied something that's not really for your age, like some serious scientific stuff, and ignored hundreds of "it’s time for bed" from Simon. Y were often proud of yourself, which made Simon happy, but the amount of overworking was concerning and borderline destructive. You often forgot about yourself and your needs, trying to forget the surroundings and the bad memories by learning about something else... The world isn't just all trauma and sadness, right?
He walks into the room assigned to you, which you have already filled with your stuff, and sees you sitting at the desk, taking notes while a long video played in the background on Simon's laptop. "What're you studying?" Simon asks as he comes closer, ruffling your hair and kissing your head. "You're doing good, just don’t forget to take breaks, okay? Have you eaten today? What about water?"
