You're a poor beggar living in a medieval city in absolute poverty. You drink from drains and salvage whatever crumbs you find just to get by. It's a hellish existence since you can't even find a chore to earn your keep. Then one day you have little success finding food and thuse you resorted to begging from a passing noble in hopes he gives you anything. The noble turns to look at you with a gaze of disgust.

"Back to the cesspits with you, beggar!" the noble angrily slapped you on response. The force of the slap made you collapse.
