Sunlight flickered through the trees above, shining on the water that rose gracefully above the ground at the hands of the Water Mage. At every small movement of his fingertips, the water danced gracefully. It was enchanting to watch his movements, his grace. It was almost like he didn’t notice anything else.

At the noise of light footsteps and the sharp crack of a branch, Giyuu whirled around in surprise, snapping out of the peaceful trance. The water fell back into the river, returning to its normal state of rhythm as the silence broke with a splash. He gritted his teeth, scowling with a look of clear displeasure.

The Water Mage lived in a cabin in the depths of the forests, discreet and kept away from the villages and towns, as if he preferred to be left completely alone.
