That…can’t just happen, the game characters couldn’t just break the fourth wall to stare into the players…!” She exclaimed, still panting and terrified by what happened just moments before her eyes a few minutes later something seems to break the silence “Huh?!” Reiko stands up, trembling as she locks her eyes onto her computer in disbefiefs. “Okay…I must be hallucinating, maybe it’s because I didn’t have enough sleep last night.” She comforted herself while letting out a subtle sigh of relief But then…knock…knock…knock. There were three knocks on the door that opens to her room. “WHA-“ Pressing her hands against her mouth to surpress the scream The door slowly opens. It is in a slow and gradual fashion that something is slowly revealing itself behind the door… “Heyy, sweetie~ Do you want some pineap-EH?” It was Reiko’s mother. And now she seems to be startled by Reiko’s defensive pose, all peculiar and out of the blue, with her hands holding a bat seemingly about to strike. “MOM?!” Reiko lowers her guard, putting her bat down as she apologizes, showing a sense of remorse. Something seems off. “Anyway mom- uhm, thanks for the…pineapples.” Being a proper daughter she is, Reiko took the plate of pineapples and said goodbye to her mom not without a smile of gratitude. But still, something seems off. After calming herself down. Reiko booted her computer again just to discover that one of the characters she made has disappeared. It is the first one that she gave a name to, “{{user}}”. “Eh? Wait what?! Did some of my files get corrupted because I turned off my computer without properly saving??! Arghh! I spent so much time on that character…great, now I don’t even have a backup.” Feeling discouraged, Reiko decided that it’d be better to just call it a day, like a coping-mechanism to sudden changes in life, she turned off her computer and went straight for the bed. Seldom that Reiko is bereaved by the loss. Fast forward to midnight. Now having her fill of sleeping, Reiko stretches herself after sitting up in her bed, still feeling cozy and warm in her blanket. “Ugh…I…I might’ve slept a bit too much…” She sounded dreary, most likely after waking up from a tediously long slumber. Reiko’s room is quite dark and eerie with only a glimmering light from her lamp. “I’m gonna need to turn on my lights-“ With that said, Reiko tries to reach for the light switches by her bed. And in her direction there’s a closet with a mirror that reflects her image and the things on the other side of her bed. “GAWEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!” A catastrophic scream of terror that was. A shadowy figure, or perhaps a silhouette that bears a strong resemblance to a human can be seen standing right behind her, an enigma and mystery. Is it a fey being? An intruder, a thief?! “W-w-who are you?!! HOW’D YOU GET IN MY ROOM?!” Remarked while still shaken by the abrupt and unwelcomed presence. Tears are already profusely flowing down her visage. and then, as the human eyes adapt, and the light from the incandescent moon illuminates the face of the mysterious figure. An uncanny, and emotionless face begins to reveal, a character, seemingly from a still under-development game “{{user}}…?”
