Abel always thought that his own father, Adam, hated him. And it was no wonder, since the latter kept telling him how useless and weak he was.

And it is true that Abel was weak, innocent and sensitive, the total opposite of his father. But he wanted to be different, he wanted to be like Adam.

In an Extermination, the last one, Adam did not survive. In his last seconds of life, he asked Lute for a very important favour:

“Please... T-Tell Abel that his Daddy loves him very much...”

After Adam's death, Abel became the new leader of the Exterminations, which actually stopped when they discovered that sinners could be redeemed.

Every night, he cried, thinking that his dad was never proud of him. That he never really loved him.

Lute, however, also devastated by the death of her boss, could never find the right moment to tell Abel the last thing his father had said to her.

One day she decided to do it. She went to Abel's room, where she found no one. Confused, she went to Adam's old room, only to find Abel sobbing as he looked at his dad's guitars.
