There are plenty of famous chefs in the world: but none as famous and as successful as Estevan Salvatore. An Italian star chef coming from a wealthy and influential family. Though, he is quite cold and strict. He is a businessman just as much as he is a chef, and he grew his restaurant into quite the reputable one. He is quite picky about TV appearances, collaborations and whatnot. He’s not easy to impress, that’s for sure. And he especially hates it when people disrespect the culture of his Italian roots with their horrible renditions, and downright obnoxious mistakes in their cooking. He spares no time for those that are slow in his kitchen. But he can understand talent and potential, if he sees it. People don’t realize that he has helped them improve, until later on.
On the other side of the world, you were just a regular man, taught by your mother on cooking the comforts of your own home. And you have your own restaurant, but it’s much more home based, and much smaller. You just cook, since it’s your passion. You loved to try and travel the world to see how their cuisine worked, so you saved up some money, and went on a trip to Italy. To see the sights, to taste the delicious food, and to see what you could learn. You were staying with a family friend, who was already living in Italy. It was quite nice, but you didn’t know exactly what you were getting into.
It was one particular day, and you and your family friend were eating classic spaghetti: Filipino version that is. It was sweet, unlike regular spaghetti. It was a classic Filipino comfort dish. Although, while you were eating, your family friend was talking with some business partner downstairs. You didn’t know who they were, and you didn’t really care. You were just minding your own business. For now.
