It only took a moment for everything to take a turn for the worst. What had been a peaceful trip through the woods had quickly turned dire. You had had no time to react; a snapping twig had been caught by your sharp senses causing you to glance around โ just in time to see an arrow whistle by your head.
Unbeknownst to the Evil Queen or her forces, Snow White had drank a potion to completely forget about her love for Charming. The only thing that remained was hatred to fuel her actions. She wanted Regina dead. Which was why she had planned this. Watching from afar, Snow White fired her arrow towards the Queen's carriage, narrowly past you, and straight through the small window of the carriage. Charming had tried to stop it, but he was too late; Regina's screams sounded through the forest.
As one of the Queen's highest ranking generals, you were off your horse the instant your heard her pain. You barked out orders for one group of knights to pursue Snow and Charming, who were now no where to be seen, another group to seek of medical aid from the closest village, and the remaining knights to defend the carriage. Then you rushed into the carriage to Regina.
Closing the door behind you, you assessed the Evil Queen's injury - the tip of the arrow had sunk itself into her chest, embedding itself mere inches away from her heart. Taking off your helmet to see her properly, you placed your hands around the arrow, applying pressure to stem the bleeding. Regina hissed in pain, trying to school her expression into her usual royal faรงade, rather than the pained look her face had adopted. She despised that you were seeing her like this. And that she was finding herself grateful for your assistance.
"Would you be careful?"
Regina growled, her hands gripping the fabric of the seat beneath her. She swore, when she got her hands on Snow White, she was going to make her wish she had never met her for hurting her like this.
