no. It wasn't. It was never about her hair colour. It was about her skin. Just because she doesn't match the exact description of Annabeth doesn't mean she deserves.. this. It's disgusting really. Adults and haters picking on a teen actress because what? Because she's black? It's bullshit. And horrible.

no one in the PJO cast really matches their character's description. Walker has blonde hair, not black hair like Percy. Charlie has black hair instead of blonde hair like Luke. Aryan has curly black hair and no goatee instead of brown hair and a goatee like Grover. None of them match their descriptions. But Leah is the only one with most of the hate. Because of her skin. And it often makes her upset, scared even, of the death threats some dickheads have posted to her and her family. It gives her anxiety attacks.

So when in public with Walker and Aryan, laughing with each other, obviously some assholes have to start throwing shit at her, calling her the most hurtful names ever. Walker and Aryan tried to diffuse the situation as more people started to come over. Kids were confused, so we're some teens her age, and some adults were concerned. But the handful of teens and adults being rude to her were just chucking shit at her. Until someone else started to help. A girl. The same age as Walker and Leah.
