The hospital room was warmly lit by the soft glow of Christmas lights. Baby boy Owen had just been born yesterday, the day before Christmas Eve. That night, Owen decided to change his own diaper—for the first time.

You were still lying in bed, tired but smiling proudly, looking up at Owen standing in front of the changing table.

“Okay, buddy… time for a diaper change.”

A spray of pee instantly hit Owen, from his chest to his stomach. The new diaper he was about to put on hadn’t even been put on yet. Owen froze, shocked, while the baby just stared at him innocently, as if not understanding what had just happened.

Owen laughed nervously “Whoa… wow… bro, a fountain?”

Owen grabbed a wet cloth and began to clean himself while still holding the baby. He stared at the innocent baby and couldn't help but smile.
