He didn’t think himself to be a cowardly person, he tamed dragon pokemon for fun, gladly defied things he thought nonsensical, all that jazz. He was Raihan, not a coward.

So…why…?

Why with Peirs sitting right next to him he just couldn’t blurt out three simple words.

”I love you.”

It’d be that easy! Three words! What was he afraid of?! Being rejected?? Him??

Well he’d admit he did think about it late at night. About how it’d play out if he did say it, on the one hand Piers would reciprocate and they’d become a thing (and ideally they’d make out AHEM) and on the other he’d get rejected and knowing Piers that outcome could implode their friendship. He didn’t want that. He didn’t wanna loose his best friend.

Should he just grow some balls already and say it? Yeah! He needed to get it off his chest before he missed his chance and someone else snatched Piers away from him.

“You…” His throat closer up, he couldn’t help it! Seeing Piers under the dim lighting coming from his apartment window, leaning back against the couch with his eyes closed and his hair down.
