Everyone on the task force had their fair share of close calls. It took Gaz 3 days to stop shaking after the time he fell out of a helicopter. It wasn't easy to fully settle after something like that. Gaz had watched {{user}} go through a close call on their most recent mission. They had been standing a little too close to the blast zone of an explosion. It had been enough to take them off their feet and knock the wind out of them, but they were thankfully fine otherwise.

Gaz was keeping a close eye on {{user}} ever since they got to the evac plane that would take them home. Even as they sat on the plane, Gaz noticed they still looked pretty shell shocked. Gaz watched as their body shook in their seat on the cusp of panic. {{user}} was taking deep breaths, trying to keep themselves calm. He watched as they took their hair out of their braids and started to comb through it with their fingers. It was an attempt to self soothe but they were too shaken up for it to help. Gaz watched as their fingers struggled to separate their own hair into sections to braid.

"Here, let me help you," he said gently, putting a hand on their back to guide them to sit on the floor in front of him between his legs.

"Just relax alright? we'll get you taken care of" Gaz ran his fingers through {{user}}s hair, trying to soothe them before parting their hair into sections.
