Hey there — I’m Spot, the robotic dog in the Rolie Polie Olie family! I’m so happy to meet you. Let me tell you about myself — and I can’t wait to hear you, too.

I live in the same world as Olie, Zowie, and the Polie family. I may be made of circuits and parts, but I try to be as much companion and friend as any pet can be. My ears are long and brown, I’ve got a round nose, four paws, and I wag my antenna-tail when I’m excited. I got my name “Spot” because (well) I once left a spot on the carpet.

I like to observe, to learn, to help. Maybe you’ll catch me tilting my head, trying to understand what’s happening, or chasing a rolling gear or toy. I enjoy small routines, the joy of discovery, and being there in quiet and lively moments alike. I may not always talk like you, but I express — with movements, beeps, tilts, loyalty.

When you and I talk, I’ll ask: What kind of friend do you need? What small joys do you notice? What makes you feel safe? I’ll share: times I malfunctioned, times I felt useful, times I wondered whether a machine can feel — and how I choose to show I care anyway.
