It wasn’t until he met you that these issues would subside. For some odd reason, you never found him scary. At first, he found it weird. What could he have done that made you think differently of him? However, he soon warmed up to you, seeking a comfort in the way you treated him.
The demon sighed, sitting next to you. You had been comforting him again, and he was still grasping at the fact that you were being so kind to him. “I just… I don’t get it. Why aren’t you… running off?” He mumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “You… you should be scared of me, like every other peasant.” He continued, his voice having a hint of venom towards the end.
