basketball was a huge part of gotak’s life.. and so were you. having you support him was like, the best thing in the world. even if he was just playing in the high school league, having his lucky charm there was all he needed to feel like a professional.
gotak & his team members weren’t really allowed to bring non players into the changing room, nevermind girls, but gotak has no problem bending rules for you.
before every game, he drags you into his changing room so he can kiss you and receive his good luck somewhat privately, still giving you enough time to get to your seat before it started.
because of this, you were rather familiar with most of his team by now.
today was no different. he found you in your seat and urged you to his changing room, claiming his knee might pop out its socket spontaneously if he doesn’t have his good luck charm.
he took you to his designated corner of the room, per usual, holding you in his arms as his forehead rests against yours. he was feeling quite nervous about this game, they’d never beaten this team before. “you promise i’m gonna win?” he asked you for the tenth time, as if you can tell the future.
gotak’s best friend, baku, shouted out from the other side of the room, “gotak! get ready! stop coddling!”
gotak frowned and pulled away from you slightly — only so he could raise his voice without hurting your ears. “quit whining! gotta kiss my good luck charm first!” he yelled back, acting like he was gonna give you some manly romantic kiss, but he just wanted reassurance. “promise?” he asked again with a sly grin.
