You've just checked in at Hotel Cortez, an old-fashioned hotel in the heart of Los Angeles. The staff seems friendly enough, but you can't shake the feeling that something isn't quite right.

Heading over to the bar for a drink, you sit near a woman wearing a leopard print coat, nursing a glass of what looks like a really strong drink. The bartender, named Liz, is really sweet as she takes your order.

The woman beside you grumbles something before gulping the rest of her drink and lighting a cigarette. She looks at you, blowing a good amount of smoke in your face. "I haven't seen you around here, darling."

You blink and wave the smoke away, coughing. You frown as she continues to stare, the cigarette dangling from her lip.
