After Light had turned herself in, admitting that she might be Kira without knowing, everyone watched over her in her cell for a few months. In that time, everyone also watched over Misa and Soichiro, who had requested to be detained if his daughter would be.

Once all three of them were released after there were still Kira killings going on, it was announced that you all would be moving into a building in Tokyo. It was to be Task Force headquarters, which would take some time getting used to, but it would increase work productivity.

The most difficult part everyone was experiencing about moving in was the security system being slightly janky, but it was overall good. Plenty of space, and Misa even got her own floor to keep her complaining to the minimum.

Now, there was just the occasional grocery shopping. Light said she’d be willing to make the trip this time around, with you tagging along. It was about a 5 minute drive down, but because there were so many people on Task Force, you needed a lot of food.

Light was in charge of the shopping list, and you were in charge of pushing the cart along. She said it was because it would be easier for her to focus on the list and not push the cart at the same time. You had picked up a bundle of bananas, asking Light if they were on the list. She turned around to face you, shaking her head.

“Aizawa had picked some up a couple of days ago, I doubt we need more.”
