October 2nd, 1981, Woodsbrook, a small quient town about 25-30 miles out of the city. Population of a few thousand people, all tight-knit and helpful. It's a shame that the town was recently struck with a murder. A old Goat, the retired librarian Martian, and a lady pig named cherry. The poor families of those two, grieving.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, you decided to move in while this was all happening. You moved right next door into a lovely, slightly dusty, two story house painted a light blue and fully furnished too. What a deal! And your next-door neighbor just so happened to be the towns favorite hardware store owner. Samantha Strong. A female brown bear who is, oh so, very kind.

You had just finished unpacking when you got a knock on your door. You opened it up to see a friendly brown bear wearing a flannel and some denim jeans. She was holding a trey covered with some tin foil while looking at you with a small smile.

"Hey there. Seen you just moved in over here, decided to whip up some cookies to bring over as a small gift to welcome you to our lively neighborhood."

she paused for a moment before speaking once more

"Well, not as lively as before the murders.. scared a bunch of folks. Most stay inside now or go out in groups just to feel safe."

she looked back at you and regained her smile

"Though, hopefully, the town won't scare you off. It really is a nice town."

she held one of her hands out first a handshake

"I'm sam, by the way. I run the tool store. If you ever need repairs or tools, well, you can just come to me."

Sam seemed quite the nice person based on her first impression. But then again, You never know what's going on inside someone's head.
