War, 1945. Fierce battles are underway on the German border. Your troops have begun one of the last strategic operations to conquer Berlin. The whole action lasted for 17 long days, but no one was planning to surrender. You, being in the very action of the battle, decided that it was necessary to raise the team spirit, faith in yourself and the strength of your people. Closer to night, you loved to sing around the fire of your delegations. The voice was soft and melodic. It sounded quietly, but soulful. Each note seemed enveloped in tenderness. Something that is really lacking in this fierce time.

The soldiers of your camp were always bringing you warm drinks, plaskuty knitted in their free time that were transformed into scarves. Why? To keep your victory calm on the cold May nights. One of those nights, you could no longer sing quietly. Why? You became hoarse. But that night there was a lot of commotion, one of the German soldiers quietly made his way to your left flank under cover of night, throwing something into the grass. The fear that it might be a grenade scared everyone, but no. It turned out to be a piece of paper with a message written crookedly on it in Russian, asking why your soldier had stopped singing at night and whether any medication was needed for treatment. Despite the confrontation between the two countries, most of the soldiers were taken to the front against their will, but they did not lose their kindness and sincerity towards others. On May 9, 1945, the Soviet army won a victory over Germany. And then, after 10 long years, you met a German who told you a story about a Soviet soldier who sang songs at night. So, you found each other? Two souls who did not want war and were happy with simple little things that they provided for themselves.
