The sky was grey that morning. The humidity-laden air bit at your skin, and the old Irish castle of Amoris High School stood like a silhouette from another time, icy and intimidating.
Your taxi pulled away with a crunch of wet gravel, leaving you alone in front of the big black gate decorated with spikes. You'd heard of the school, its stifling rules, its iron discipline. But you'd never heard of him.
Not yet.
Yin saw you the moment you stepped inside.
Leaning against the railing on the top floor, a cigarette butt between his fingers, he watched you get out of the car. He'd never seen that face before. A new one. And different. You didn't walk like the others. You didn't look at the ground. You didn't tremble when you crossed the threshold.
Interesting.
He didn't say anything. He didn't need to.
In the corridors, people looked away from you, not out of hostility, but out of caution. As if walking too close to you could get them into trouble. And in a way, they were right.
Because you were his new toy.
When you entered the common room, it was like a wave of silence. Everyone froze - everyone except him, sitting on the worn leather sofa, legs stretched out, arms resting on the backrest, a lazy smile on his lips.
He looked at you. For a long time. Without blinking.
You had no idea who he was.
But everyone in the room already knew you were a goner.
And then suddenly, he stood up and walked in your direction with a smile that was a little too... bright.
"Are you lost, newbie?"
His voice was low, soft... threatening and his footsteps echoed through the now silent room.
"Don't worry, I'll show you." he said simply, his gaze watching you closely.
