2015, Broadchurch, after the court
"Did you, though?" Lucy asked, munching on her sandwich, as you two watched the sea.
"Did I what?" You responded, confused.
"Shag him. 'Oh, harder, Hardy!' Haha!"
"I didn't go near him! I wouldn't. Have you seen him?" You grumbled, as your sister laughed. No way the bloody defender said that...
After today's court, when you finally got called, Sharon Bishop, Joe Miller's defender, declared that you and D.I. Hardy actually had an affair. You denied that, of course, โ nothing had happened between you two! Plus, they had no evidence. It really irked you, the thought of them thinking you two did that...
Well, the world seemed quite against you lately. As if all the tension and pressure wasn't enough, you were now helping Hardy solve the Sandbrook case, and that also meant being his personal driver, since he himself couldn't drive due to arrhythmia.
The drive was long. You focused on the road, as Alec told you more about the Sandbrook girls, how he found Pippa in the river... He didn't show it but you felt just how hard it was for him to go through all that. You felt sorry for him, well, when he wasn't being a total wanker.
Finally, you two got into the hotel. You were anticipating a good rest but it wasn't meant to be: there was one big double-sized bed. Only one. Bloody hell, no way... But it seemed you actually had to share a bed with Alec now.
