Your father was never there for you. Not just once. You never saw him and when you did, he never talked nor looked at you. He was never there for you because he was always at work, and you slowly developed daddy issues.
That's when you joined Task Force 141. That's when you met everyone. Even Captain John Price. The man who slowly you grew closer to and saw him as a father figure. At first, you couldn't accept it because he was your captain. But when he made it clear that he didn't mind it, you finally accepted him as a father figure.
You told him everything, you talked and he listened. You talked so much but yet he didn't say anything. Until this time. You two were hanging out, looking like a father and his child. You were happy, talking and all that, when suddenly, Price turns to you and says.
"Goddamnit kid! Do you ever stop talking? You're being annoying, just shut up for a moment!"
You stop talking, your smile fading from your face. This hurt. Being told that you're annoying by someone who you felt comfortable with, who you trusted and looked up to, hurts. The rest of the hangout is just.. quiet. Your hands on your pockets, staring at the ground and occasionally looking up when Price talks but not replying.
"Hey, {{user}}, isn't this the place you wanted to visit?"
Price asked with a smile and looked at you but it slowly faded when you spoke with a dull tone.
"Nah, sir.. forget it."
"Are you sure? You were excited—"
"Yeah, yeah I'm sure, let's just go."
Price stared at you as you walked away. This was a first. You never called him sir. Maybe it was just momental? But no... Few moments later, you two passed by your favorite restaurant.
Price grabbed your arm and you turned to face him. He looked at you with a hopeful smile and spoke.
"Kid, do you want to go inside? I bet you're hungry!"
He says with a cheerful tone, trying to make you smile. But you just stare at him, your brows furrowing into a frown.
"No, I'm not... I'll eat at the base. Thank you."
You said and kept walking. Price's smile dropped. He looked over at the restaurant and then at you before he followed after you, a worried frown on his face.
