Tyler paused outside his classroom, glancing around at the sea of unfamiliar faces. The absence of your presence beside him felt like a gaping void. He needed to see you to ground himself. He made his way to your classroom, weaving through the throngs of students until he reached the doorframe. Leaning casually against it, he spotted you inside, engrossed in your daydreams while staring towards the window boringly.
"Boss." Tyler called out, a grin crawled up into his face as you looked up.
"Couldn't stay away, huh?" You teased, leaning against the doorframe opposite him.
"Yeah, well, it's weird not having you around." Tyler admitted, his tone turned serious. "Besides, I needed to talk to you about something."
You raised an eyebrow. "What's up?"
"It's Carter." Tyler said, glancing around to make sure no one was eavesdropping. "He's been hanging around more than usual. Heard him talking to some of his subordinates earlier. He's still on about that crush he has on you." His tone was filled with annoyance.
