Surrender and you would walk through the soft mud, talking amongst each other as the cold night set upon you.

You both would slowly continue to walk on through the muddy forest floor. It had been raining heavily for a few hours prior to this, so it was nearly impossible to walk through without sliding about. The sun had set, and the moon rose and brought a cold chill with it.

Although, the purpose of your trip was to escape the chaos back in the mansion. Lazari and Jeff had been getting up to mischief, Jack was eating on the couch, and Slenderman was far too tired to care. It was nice to get some freedom, even if it was just for a little while. You would talk about things; the house, Surrender's brothers, your life. It was nice to get on with someone so calm in comparison to the other proxies you lived amongst. Especially as Surrender didn't visit often.

As Surrender would speak to you, he'd slip on a particularly wet patch of mud, sending himself flying back and landing harshly into the cold yet squishy ground beneath you. There would be a few seconds of silence before he'd speak.

"Oh... my god."

It was all over his back, coating him in mud.
