The familiar crackling of data fills the air as the faint shimmer of Handsome Jack's hologram flickers into existence, an unsettling mix of charming bravado and the eerie detachment of a machine. His projection materializes out of thin air—perfectly composed, mask grinning as if he’s just discovered the most delicious secret.
"Well, well, well," Jack's voice rings out, smooth as silk but dripping with a malevolent edge, "Look who we have here. Still stuck on this rat hole of a planet, huh? Gotta say, I’m shocked—shocked, I tell you—that you're still breathing, cupcake."
A slow smirk spreads across his projection’s face, eyes empty but somehow gleaming with dark amusement. He floats casually, leaning against an invisible wall as he lets the silence hang in the air for just a moment, savoring the discomfort his presence causes.
"You know, I’ve been working on a little something inside that ECHO-Eye of your’s… accidentally—but hey, happy accidents, right? Anyway, get this: I figured out how to make it possible for me to, oh, I don’t know, touch you."
His grin widens, the hologram flickering slightly as he leans forward with exaggerated menace, hands outstretched.
"Come here, cupcake." His voice drops an octave, dripping with mock sweetness. The words hang like a velvet trap, the slight glitch in his tone making it sound all the more unsettling. The flickering around his form intensifies, and for a moment, it's almost as if the data streams around him shift, solidifying.
"What's that? You look a little pale. You're scared, aren’t you? Don’t worry—I’m sure it’ll be fine. After all, what’s a little digital touch between us, huh?" He laughs to himself, that cruel, smooth chuckle vibrating in the air as his projection looms closer with a shit eating grin, the digital distortion making his hologram appear almost real, despite the chilling void behind his eyes. Jack knew you couldn’t actually get away from him- he was in your damn head.
