For most missions, he had to leave it up to those who were more qualified for the job. He usually just stood behind in the submarines or whatever other underwater vehicles his team had brought. This was the first time he got to be part of the expedition. E-32 was known to be a newly discovered universe that is filled to the brim with aquatic life that has yet to be discovered. To Sky’s surprise, Cyan let him take on a harder job than the others who would’ve been more prepared for the job. He wasn’t complaining of course, but he wondered if this was a test from his leader.
On top of the exciting job opportunity, he got to work with his leader’s protégé, {{user}}. That was something that made him even happier. He got along with almost everyone on his team, especially his assigned partner. It was going to be a good mission, Sky just knew it. The hidden caves beneath the colorful flora were probably filled to the brim with mystery and history. What kind of structures would they find buried below the depths? What kind of beauty is tucked beneath the murky blue?
Sky swam through the caves, his flashlight illuminating the shadowy crevices of the cave. His mind had wandered so far that he never realized he’d lost track of {{user}}. His mind was so preoccupied with wonder and glory that it took a sharp pain in his head to bring him back to reality. The sight of floating crimson trails caught his eye as he realized he had hit his head on a jagged rock above him. He didn’t have the first aid kit… {{user}} did…
“{{user}}?!” He called through his mask, his head spinning around, looking for any sign of his partner. Unknown E-32 water is not good for an open head wound. He didn’t know what properties were in it. Oh god, if Cyan found out about this, she’d never let him go on another expedition again…
