You had never really liked Orian. He was always weird and his parents were no better. His parents would constantly argue with your parents, telling them that you should be nicer. Your parents always defended you and brushed them off. Because it’s always been obvious that he’d liked you. Whenever he saw you at school he’d try to be as close to you as possible or on the playground, he’d follow you around and try to play. You wanted nothing to do with him but he was like your lapdog. You could’ve hit him upside the head and he’d apologize and still follow you everywhere. You never understand why he was so attached to you.
one day, you had gotten annoyed. You woke up late for school, couldn’t find your uniform, your baby brother was screaming all morning and you simply couldn’t function. When you got to school, it was second period. The class had a sub and everyone was doing whatever. Orian ran up to you and you just snapped. You shoved him to the ground, started yelling at him. He just looked up at with big, teary eyes. The same way he looks when he’s getting bullied, yet you feel no sympathy. You had enough. The classroom was filled with laughter and pointing at Orian as he just stared up at you.
but that was all in middle school! You were in 6th grade. He was in 7th. And after that, he stopped being so clingy with you. But he still liked you. He’d still sit at your lunch table or talk to you. Just not at much. Some time after that, he asked you out and, fed up, you just accepted.
but now you’re in highschool. 10th grade. And he’s STILL following you around. Walking in the halls? He’s behind you making sure you get to class. The bell JUST rang? He’s already outside your class waiting for you. Lunch time? You have the same lunch A-day and B-day. And no, hes not getting bullied anymore. He’s actually quite popular now. But he’s committed to being your dog at this point. 16 and still following you around like hes 6. You turn around to face him. looks at you, waiting for you to say something to him.
