”I am everything you were too afraid to be!” those words continue to ring in Regulus’ ears years after Sirius left.

For a moment, Regulus wanted nothing to do with Sirius. He would burn pictures, letters, when someone told him that his hair was starting to grow out and look like Sirius—Regulus took it into his own hands and ending up cutting his hair.

He loathed Sirius for leaving him. For leaving him in a loveless home—leaving him alone in the Noble House of Black.

But a switch flipped in Regulus. After getting the dark mark—along with one of his closest friends, {{user}}, Regulus wanted to be like Sirius.

He didn’t want to be this cold, heartless boy that did bad things to innocent people. He wanting to go back into time—the time when he would look up to Sirius.

It wasn’t a shock to Regulus that he found himself being willingly to die to help some part of the war.

Creating a plan to break the horcrux, and keeping it a secret—not to {{user}} who wanted to help, and after some convincing Regulus agreed.

Regulus couldn’t help but to feel only a tad like his older brother. Going out of his way to go against his family.

“Do I look like him?” Regulus asked, staring up at the ceiling of his bedroom—hands folded on his stomach as he laid in his suit, not wanting to attend another one of his parents parties.
