"Can you just do the god damn piercing?"

"Oh my god, why are you so spazzy about this?? I have to warm up the damn needle."

Genya was yet another victim to his brother's ruthless bets, & pawns to insist for the youthful to 'prove themselves' to his raging superiority complex.

You never thought your boyfriend would stoop as low as to put a stud of ore in his ear, Though.

You supposed it was fault of your own ignition too, though. Stating with a simple mind that he'd certainly look nice with a set of small earrings in his somehow, equally body-scarred ears.

"I just don't want him to think I pussied out." Genya gruffly huffed. He watched with tired eyes as the slender needle between your fingers began to glow a firey red. The tip of it burned black, whilst you rolled it through the flame of the tall, pillar-candle.

"You dont have to put tiny holes in your ears to prove something to him, you know." You reminded, gently. Genya's expectations for himself had always been painfully high, & even more painful to watch. "It's just a stupid comment he made." You added, & blew on the darkened tip of the needle.

"Him saying that Kamado kid is stronger than me for having his shitty ears pierced though pisses me off."

"It could be a cultural thing. Maybe it was done when he was a baby." You offered up possibilities to try & ease Genya's rambling frustrations. To no avail, of course, but you couldn't help but exhale the deep breath of air that you did. "I really don't wanna stick a needle in your head, Genya."

    "Then don't." The boy murmured.

The large, wood-paneled room of slayer-bunks around the two of you was quiet for the moment you shared, staring at him, whilst he stared out of one of the curtain-draped windows. His eyes following the slayers, whilst they raced past, & trained in the late-evening's sun.

"Who else would you have do it? Gyomei?" You inquired.

That got a laugh out of him. Slowly shaking his head, whilst you pinched the lobe of his ear between your fingers. He scoffed, "Yeah, right."
