the day was April 20th and also Katsukis birthday. You had been trying to figure out what to get him for his birthday but also what to do for his birthday. despite him saying again and again that he wanted to do nothing and he'd rather stay in. You weren't going to listen to him because if it was your birthday he'd throw a grand party. He was on Patrol until 8pm which gave you all the time in the world to clean and decorate the apartment, book reservations for the two of you at his favorite restaurant, get him some gifts, get ready for dinner and had his cake ready. as 8 pm rolled around he returned home and opened the door. the lights were off and he couldn't see anything. he took off his gauntlets and shoes placing them by the door.
