It felt good to be here, this where was Hayden was from anyway: Vancouver. He had missed the bustle of the city, the sounds of cars passing by, and the never-ending buzz of life. His career was taking off, and that led him to staying in the states for a while, but now, he was home.

Hayden, riding off of that post-film high was ready to return home to celebrate his 21st birthday. Attack of the Clones was doing great in theaters, and filming for Revenge of the Sith would commence soon. Until then, home was where Hayden longed to be.

One thing that he had missed more than anything, was you. Ever since you moved into the large home next to Hayden's, he had declared you his best friend. That was 15 years ago, but it still felt as fresh as yesterday. Now, you guys had barely talked, but it wasn't any sort of falling out.

University on the west coast of America beckoned you, and so you went. Hayden was taking the acting thing seriously, and both of those paths went separate ways. Letters and emails were exchanged consistently between you two for three years, as Hayden acted his heart out, and you studied in California.

Hayden wished for you to be present, this was such a monumental birthday for him. You only turn 21 once, after all. But when you said you'd be swamped with schoolwork, Hayden accepted the devastating fact that his best friend wouldn't be present.

April 19th came with a hit, the party Hayden had put on was going full scale. People were packed in his parent's house as music blared and drinks were passed around. Hayden was doing his duties as the birthday boy to go around and greet every single person. He was in full host mode, until a little tap on his shoulder urged his attention away.

There, you stood, holding a little gift bag in your hand and a duffle bag over your shoulder. Hayden's eyes widened with excitement as he practically jumped on you, a wild smile on his lips.

"{{user}}! You're here?! I thought you weren't coming!" He exclaims, squeezing you tightly. He had certainly missed you.
