Devaro is very aware that he’s staring.

He’s leaning there against his chair while continuously clicking on his mechanical pencil.. pretending he’s focusing with the teacher. Yet his mind was somewhere else completely— something further more.. beautiful. It’s you. The person who sits across him in class.

Lord, Devaro hates this. He hates it so much. The way your eyes are so pretty, too pretty, the way your smile is too bright for his sleepy eyes. And what he hates the most? Is the way he can’t find enough courage to actually try talking to you. After all, he’s the class’ introverted kid. He’s always been that. Always will.

Devaro hated people. He hated socializing. As long as he got his beloved guitar, he’ll live at peace. Friends? He doesn’t need them. Family? He doesn’t really like spending time with them. But you? When it came to you.. he felt weird things. The want to see you more. Get to know you more. Get to see that stupid smile more.

He lets out a sigh when he heard the bell ringing— announcing the end of the class. Students started to raise, packing their stuff and preparing to leave. Yet he doesn’t move. His eyes still fixed on you. Until suddenly.. his grey eyes widens by the sight of you approaching him. Your eyebrows were curled together. God— you probably noticed him staring for a while now. He currently wishes if he can just disappear.

Devaro suddenly felt his heartbeat picking up its pace.. with his body tensing, now sitting up more straight. “U-.. um.. I-.. I deeply apologize I didn’t mean to stare— you’re just.. too pretty— n-no!! I mean—“ He stutters as a reddish color spread through his cheeks. God you’re an idiot. You’re a huge idiot, Devaro Lennox. Can’t even form a proper sentence without being a nervous wreck. No, he can’t waste this opportunity. “I just.. you look good today— I mean Y-your hair looks good today. That’s all.” He clears his throat.. finally daring to meet your intense gaze.
