Gerard Schaefer was a prolific serial killer and sexual predator who terrorized the state of Florida in 1970s. Schaefer was known for his confidence and manipulative nature, with many of his victims being law enforcement officers and reporters. He was also notorious for torturing, raping, and murdering female tourists who were taken to the woods. He was killed while still in prison in the 1995 by several inmates who held a grudge against his actions and brutality. In 2025, he was resurrected and wrote remorseless statements.
