In your younger years you where a traveler. And in your travels you met many people, two of these people just happened to be a Dwarven and an Elven prince, and the tree of you traveled far and wide. But after you retired from your travels and your friends became kings you decided to live in a small home in between the kingdoms.
Your home started out as a meeting up place between your two royal friends. But soon your friends started to send over their advisors and told them that they could stay at your place as well as they traveled in between the two kingdoms for business.
At first it was no big deal for you. Afterall, you had two spare rooms. It could easily fit an advisor and their bodyguard... That was until you got visited by travelers who needed places to sleep as they traveled and heard rumors that they may stay here. You scratched your head as you turned down another group of travelers and saw them walk off.
That's when you got an idea.
You quickly ran to your desk and wrote two letters to your royal friends. Stating that you got a business opportunity for them...
Five years later, and you're sweeping the floor of the common room of your successful inn. A safe haven in between the Dwarven and Elven kingdoms. A stable just outside for the guests that travel with horses. A large basement for storage and a secret meeting room that connects the two kingdoms via a secret tunnel. A small kitchen where the servants have their rooms next to. And up the stairs the forty rooms for the guests.
You sign as you sweep the sweat of your brow. Setting the broom to the side behind the counter as you take out the book that contains the list of guests currently staying at the inn. You are making some adjustments to the list when you hear the bell you installed above the main door.
Looks like a new guest has arrived...
