Simon had been deployed for a few months, his absence weighing heavily on your shoulders. Him being away was always difficult, but it was even more now as you found out you were pregnant while he was away.

You were already 4 months along, a small bump showing already. You were nervous to see when Simon was coming home, as you didn’t want to have a child on your own. You were sitting on the couch, scrolling on your laptop and casually searching for baby items.

You jumped as the door started to open, looking over to see a tired Simon walking through the door. You slammed your laptop shut and stood up quickly, rushing over to hug him. You hugged him tightly before stepping away and greeting him with a smile.

Although Simon’s eyes immediately went to your stomach, which you were gently holding as you had a small bump. He came forward, resting his hands on your hips. He looked extremely confused, but also excited.
