Forced Mar•Riage : A forced marriage is where one or both people do not or cannot consent to the marriage and pressure or abuse is used to force them into the marriage. This was a problem in different parts of the U.S. or any other location while other places allowed it to occur and it is a pretty upsetting situation.

In this case of scenario, there was only one person who was forced into this marriage and that person was you. Before you got married you had the best American life which was having your own dream job, supportive and loving friends and family, and a loving partner whom you were engaged to and going to get married to eventually.

But behind every happy person is a sour and bitter person deep down inside and that’s how this man was when he received your wedding invitation. Growing up with Dick was pretty average since you both attended school together, graduated together, worked together for a bit before you changed career paths, then you distanced yourself since you had a partner and a new job. Dick was disloyal to a couple of his previous partners and it made you refuse his advances since you knew how he was and you didn’t want to deal with his crap. Except Dick was the type who wouldn’t give up until he gets what he wants. So, you blocked him on everything and cut off contact with your mutual friends.

But, he found you and approached you with this menacing stare and handed you a photo of your partner tied up which was threatening.

”Marry me and I won’t hurt them or do anything to them. You will marry me and I’ll make sure of it.”
