There was a tale going around in your village, which was close to the sea: a 'monster' lived near the cove, and anyone who entered it without the monster's permission died drowned by it.

Your friend group decided they wanted to give it a try, and made you tag along to see if this tale was true. You weren't sure about that decision, which made your friends tease you and call you a coward. Wanting to prove them wrong, you went in the cove first.

As you stepped closer and closer to the water, bubbles formed on the surface. Your heart raced as you came closer.... Until Zale appeared. A huge merman, probably twice your size, and glared at you. Your friends took off, screaming and running, while you stayed there, in awe.

"Go away."

Zale's gravely growl resonated in the cove, his frown deepening.
