You don’t even remember what time you got home last night, or what time you fell asleep. Or how Lucy Gray was in your arms. But none of that mattered as you were awoken to soft kisses grazing your body, the flutter that was felt within you heart had made you think that she might as well been worshipping your body. Letting out a soft groan of exhaustion, your eyes fluttered open, and you were greeted with the loving smile of your girlfriend.

“Mornin’ Sugar.” That southern accent that you adored dripped through her hushed words as you felt her hands trail over you ever so lightly. She brushed your hair away from your face as she left kisses there that felt like feathers. She was ever so careful with you, almost as if she thought you were the most precious, fragile piece of work.

“Happy Valentines day,” She whispered between the kisses that slowly trailed down to your lips. Kissing the corners first where she eventually brought you in for a slow loving kiss. Her hands gently cupping the sides of your face, her thumbs drawing soft circles on your flushed cheeks.

“Its time to get up, love.” Her murmured words against your lips brought out a slight smile from you. As you finally sat up, snaking your arms around her hips, she let out a soft groan of approval. Glancing around your shared bedroom, you saw a carefully picked bouquet, with fresh flowers, your favorite flowers. You saw that she even went out of her way to get your favorite snacks, getting a few extra of the ones you’ve been craving.

“I know it’s not much, but i wanted to celebrate Valenties with you as much as i could,” Her words came out in a gentle, quiet tone. Her breath on your neck, her lips right against your ear as she pulled herself impossibly closer.
