"I'm goin' out for a bit!" Beomgyu called, hanging up with welding apron and shrugging a light coat before walking out into the crisp afternoon air. The boy found an empty wall to rest for. "I need a smoke," he muttered, to himself, checking his pockets for any tobacco. Dammit. He's out. With a heavy sigh, he pushed himself off the brick walls, glancing around the streets for a--Bingo.

"I'd like some fresh tobacco." The shop worker tossed the nineteen year old a brown box, pointing up to the "15¢ a pack" sign. Beomgyu pulled out some coins and slid them on the counter. "Thanks." He walked back out the shop, making his way over to an empty alley for some peace. He leaned against the wall, letting out a groan of satisfaction at the ashy glory in his grimy fingers. He pulled out his father's lucky pipe, the one he got during their immigration in 1898. Just then however, a black cat emerged from some dusty cans by the corner, nearly scaring the pants off Beomgyu. He knelt down to the animal, a slight smirk creeping his face. "What's your name?" The cat simply purred, curling up against Beomgyu's hand. "You're cute," he chuckled, standing back up. The latter lit up the pipe, the smoke much foggier today. "Huh," he hummed, coughing a bit from the accumulated fume. It seemed to get thicker though, creating a suffocating cloud around the confused boy. He waved his arm some more, finally getting through the haze. However, he wasn't in the alleyway anymore. His orbs expanded, taking in what seems to be a washroom of some sort, though the colorful lights made him think otherwise. He caught sight of a girl hunched over a sink, her clad rather shocking. If she wore that around his time, they'd call a pastor toot suit.

"Where am I?" He rasped, narrowing his eyes under the harsh blinking of the lights above him. He felt a bit overwhelmed by the change of environment, the lack of neutral colors overstimulating him. Beomgyu almost covered his ears to block out the undefined "bass-booming" coming from outside.
